The Bonham Warriors will head out to challenge the Paris Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bonham has four straight wins, Paris has 27 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Bonham got the win against Pilot Point by a conclusive 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Annalyn Stafford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Alayna Laisy was a standout: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. Another player making a difference was Jewyll Hemby, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Laisy wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bonham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for Bonham: they were averaging 3.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Paris faced off against New Boston on Saturday. Paris came up short against New Boston, falling 18-3.
Bonham's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Paris, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Paris' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bonham has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. It's a different story for Paris, though, as they've only averaged .275. Will they be able to contain Bonham's hitters?
Bonham took their win against Paris when the teams last played back in March of 2020 by a conclusive 14-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bonham since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
