Bradwell Institute and Brunswick are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Bradwell Institute Tigers will square off against the Brunswick Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Bradwell Institute sitting on five straight victories and Brunswick on three.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bradwell Institute beat Glynn Academy 44-40. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Terrors are ranked 195th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ja?Nya Bush was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 11 points in addition to five boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta?Tyana Anderson, who put up eight points and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brunswick was able to grind out a solid win over Glynn Academy on Friday, taking the game 50-39.
Bradwell Institute better keep an eye on Martin Davis. She was instrumental in Brunswick's win, putting up 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Reagan Hicks was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Brunswick smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 18 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Brunswick pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for Bradwell Institute, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
Bradwell Institute was able to grind out a solid win over Brunswick in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 56-49. Will Bradwell Institute repeat their success, or does Brunswick have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
