Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lancaster). They blew past the Logan Chieftains 41-7 on Friday. Given the Golden Gales' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Chieftains are ranked 573rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lancaster's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Logan, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lancaster is set to face off against their familiar foe Reynoldsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Logan will square off against rival Canal Winchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
