The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Asheboro Hybrid Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Asheboro Hybrid Academy saw an underclassman step up: Carter Edmonds scored seven points.
Cam Layaou continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Millers Creek Christian, scoring 25 points along with nine blocks and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Layaou has scored at least a third of Millers Creek Christian's points. Ethan Childers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine steals.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Millers Creek Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Asheboro Hybrid Academy will head out on the road to square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Non Varsity Opponent has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Millers Creek Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Southview Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62.1 points per game.
