It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Army-Navy Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Tri-City Christian at home to the tune of 50-0. Considering Army-Navy has won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Army-Navy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carlos Ramirez, who threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Schrom, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The win was the third in a row for Army-Navy, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Tri-City Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Army-Navy will face off against Holtville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Holtville is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Tri-City Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
