After a string of three wins, the Heartland Mustangs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Christian Learning Center by a score of 41-38. Heartland has not had much luck with Christian Learning Center recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Heartland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Esther Archibald. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with seven steals and five assists. Maddy Jones was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Rylie Allen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christian Learning Center, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Allen has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Bean, who scored seven points.
Heartland's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Christian Learning Center, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Heartland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Christian Learning Center also has no future games currently scheduled.
