The Randolph-Clay Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Charlton County Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Randolph-Clay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday.
Randolph-Clay entered their tilt with Abbeville with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Randolph-Clay walked away with a 53-46 victory over Abbeville.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Randolph-Clay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniels Josiah, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Josiah set a new season high mark in steals with two. Je'Sus Daniels was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Charlton County beat Pelham 55-49 on Friday. The victory was just what Charlton County needed coming off of a 67-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Jack Braddock was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'mari Hamilton, who scored 13 points.
Randolph-Clay's record is now 6-3. As for Charlton County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's matchup: Randolph-Clay have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4 threes per game. It's a different story for Charlton County, though, as they've been averaging only 6.9 threes per game. Given Randolph-Clay's sizeable advantage in that area, Charlton County will need to find a way to close that gap.
Randolph-Clay was dealt a bruising 70-40 loss at the hands of Charlton County when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Randolph-Clay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
