The Hempstead Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Boling Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hempstead is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Hempstead took a serious blow against Hitchcock, falling 80-28. Hempstead has not had much luck with Hitchcock recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Calvin Thompson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dontae Houston, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Boling was able to grind out a solid victory over Van Vleck on Friday, taking the game 60-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Boling.
Hempstead now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Boling, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Hempstead couldn't quite finish off Boling in their previous meeting back in January and fell 64-61. Can Hempstead avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
