With a playoff game on the line, the Arizona College Prep Knights rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Lee Williams. The win was just what Arizona College Prep needed coming off of a 27-0 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arizona College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alec Grant, who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Arizona College Prep also got a significant boost from Kaleb Heyer, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 121 yards.
Lee Williams' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Petrauschke, who threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns, and Devin White who picked up 28 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Arizona College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Lee Williams, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Arizona College Prep will head out on the road to face off against Canyon del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Canyon del Oro will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Lee Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
