Volleyball Recap: Mother Mcauley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mother McAuley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the St. Laurence Vikings by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Mighty Macs, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Cayla Prohaska paced Mother McAuley's offense, picking up eight kills. Prohaska got some help from Peyton Heatherly and her 16 assists. Finally, Chyla Jukes and Jayce Prohaska kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked six attacks.

When it comes to explaining why St. Laurence lost, don't look at Leah Romano. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and one assist.

Mother McAuley's win bumped their record up to 34-4. As for St. Laurence, their loss dropped their record down to 26-12.

Mother McAuley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Marist on the 6th. St. Laurence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
