After flying high against the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights last Thursday, the Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs came back down to earth. Methodist Children's Home was beaten by Chisholm Trail Academy 65-35 on Thursday. Methodist Children's Home has not had much luck with Chisholm Trail Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Methodist Children's Home saw an underclassman step up: Londen Bickham scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Bickham is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played.
It was another big night for Tony Planells, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds for Chisholm Trail Academy. Lukas Vohwinkel was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Methodist Children's Home's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Methodist Children's Home the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Providence Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Providence Prep will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Flint Academy at 5:30 p.m. Flint Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
