After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain Ridge, the Northern Huskies were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They breezed by Hancock on the road to the tune of 36-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northern also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Leading Northern to victory were Abby Nelson and Lydia Nelson. Nelson scored 12 points, while Nelson scored ten points along with three steals. Kaylee Bowser was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Northern's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Hancock, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Northern will head out on the road to face off against Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southern will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Northern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hancock, they will head out on the road to take on Maryland School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hancock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Wednesday.
