The Legacy Longhorns came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 69-32 victory over Eldorado. With Legacy ahead 41-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Rahjon Chambers was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Duke, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Eldorado saw an underclassman step up: Robert "RJ" Waddell scored ten points along with two steals. Waddell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Kamarion Durant was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Eldorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Western is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Eldorado, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Royals at 6:30 p.m. Cristo Rey St. Viator comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
