The Oak Hill Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Mississinewa by a score of 47-45. Oak Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mississinewa apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Oak Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ty Fagan, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds, and Jace Tonagel who scored 14 points. The game was Fagan's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Oak Hill has fallen quite a ways from their 20-3 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Mississinewa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will take on Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Maconaquah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Oak Hill likes a good challenge. As for Mississinewa, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison-Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
