The Gaithersburg Trojans lost against the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Gaithersburg had to suffer through a rough 76-14 loss at the hands of Seneca Valley. Gaithersburg has not had much luck with Seneca Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seneca Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nia Hall, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jayden Addison, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
Gaithersburg bumped their record down to 3-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.8 points per game. As for Seneca Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Gaithersburg will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Northwest on January 8th. As for Seneca Valley, they will square off against Clarksburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
