It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bozeman Hawks had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against Capital as Bozeman made off with a 43-19 win. The win was just business as usual for Bozeman, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Among those leading the charge was Brady Casagranda, who rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns. Kellen Harrison was another key contributor, throwing for 296 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes.
When it comes to explaining why Capital lost, one person who can't be blamed is Merek Mihelish. Despite the final result, he rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
Bozeman pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.5 points per game. As for Capital, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Bozeman has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Glacier at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Glacier is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Capital does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
