The Green Sea Floyds Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 48-37 to Hannah-Pamplico. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Green Sea Floyds of the 44-32 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Green Sea Floyds saw an underclassman step up: Tanisha Myers scored ten points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dee Dee Boyd, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Green Sea Floyds has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.
Green Sea Floyds' road trip will continue as they head out to face Latta at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Latta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Tuesday. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they will be playing at home against Lake View at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake View presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hannah-Pamplico in South Carolina (Lake View is ranked 71st, while Hannah-Pamplico is ranked 249th).
