The Westminster Christian Academy Lions came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down Piedmont Academy 48-33 on Friday. The victory was just what Westminster Christian Academy needed coming off of a 85-48 loss in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Piedmont Academy saw an underclassman step up: Corbett Crews dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Crews hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games.
Westminster Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17. As for Piedmont Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-23.
Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Piedmont Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Gatewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Gatewood's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
