Ben Davis hasn't had much luck against Brownsburg recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Giants will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Ben Davis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Ben Davis took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past Lawrence North 5-4.

Riley Gilliland made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.
In other batting news, Brooklynn Chambers and Bailee Latimer did most of the damage at the plate: Chambers went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Latimer went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Chambers has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Brownsburg faced Roncalli in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Royals by a score of 9-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Etta Schroering spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tatum Hunt, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Izzy Neal was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Brownsburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roncalli only posted a batting average of .160.
Brownsburg pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Ben Davis, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ben Davis has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Brownsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ben Davis suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Brownsburg in their previous matchup on May 1st. Can the Giants avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
