The Seabreeze Sandcrabs and the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Seabreeze Sandcrabs had to settle for second. They fell to the Yellow Jackets 43-39. While losing is never fun, Seabreeze can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while St. Augustine is ranked 245th).
Despite the loss, Seabreeze still got an impressive performance from John Dunlap, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 53.8% of Seabreeze's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Aiden Bailey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Seabreeze has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for St. Augustine, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Seabreeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Augustine also has no future games currently scheduled.
