The Colonial Christian Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Pinecrest Glades Academy 63-26. Colonial Christian has not had much luck with Pinecrest Glades Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Colonial Christian saw an underclassman step up: Kevin Gomez scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Gomez scored a full 69.2% of Colonial Christian's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Colonial Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Colonial Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Redland Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Academy for Innovative Education at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
