It was a good run, but the Two Eagle River Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 66-54 to Charlo. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Two Eagle River of the 72-61 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Two Eagle River still got an impressive performance from Jabez Madplume, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Addison, who scored nine points.
Two Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Charlo, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Two Eagle River will face off against the Savage Heat at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hot Springs is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Charlo, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Arlee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully the Vikings likes a good challenge.
