The Laurel Hill Hoboes will play host again and welcome the Northview Chiefs, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Northview took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Laurel Hill, who comes in off a win.
Even though Pensacola Christian Academy scored an imposing 66 points on Saturday, Laurel Hill still came out on top. Laurel Hill took their game against Pensacola Christian Academy 78-66.
While Northview couldn't quite beat Pensacola Christian Academy on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 34-point loss they were dealt on Thursday. Northview fell just short of Pensacola Christian Academy by a score of 47-44. Northview has struggled against Pensacola Christian Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Northview saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Luke Diamond, who scored 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. Diamond continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. JACOB SPENCE was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.
Laurel Hill now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Northview, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Laurel Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Northview when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory.
