The game between Riverdale and Franklin County wasn't particularly close, with Riverdale falling 49-34. Riverdale has struggled against Franklin County recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Riverdale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gray Turek. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with six rebounds. Turek is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashad Mitchell, who scored 13 points.
Riverdale's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-5. As for Franklin County, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Riverdale will be home for the holidays to greet Marshall County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshall County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Riverdale in Tennessee (Marshall County is ranked 93rd, while Riverdale is ranked 215th). As for Franklin County, they will head out on the road to face off against Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
