Baseball Recap: Terry Sets Scoring Season-High Against Vicksburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Terry). They blew past the Vicksburg Gators 15-3 on Thursday. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacarius Wilson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Terry is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise. Wilson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Caleb Edwards was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Cory Meaders was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Terry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vicksburg only posted an OBP of .429.

The victory got Terry back to even at 4-4. As for Vicksburg, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Terry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Pearl on the 1st. As for Vicksburg, they have also already played their next game, a 23-0 defeat against Starkville on the 28th.
