The Uxbridge Spartans won the last time they faced the Douglas Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Uxbridge walked away with a 56-49 victory over Douglas. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Uxbridge.
Uxbridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Mccusker, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mccusker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Spencer, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Douglas still got an impressive performance from Adam Dunphy, who scored 17 points. The contest was Dunphy's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Farrell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Uxbridge now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Douglas, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Uxbridge will be home for the holidays to greet Quaboag Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Douglas won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bartlett at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th.
