The South Dade Buccaneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 68-57 to Braddock. South Dade has struggled against Braddock recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Braddock to victory were Markus Zenck and Alejandro Lopez. Zenck scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Lopez scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Lara, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
South Dade has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Braddock, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.
South Dade will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Coral Park at 7:30 p.m. As for Braddock, they will square off against Elite Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Elite Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Saturday.
