It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southridge had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over the Sunset Apollos. Winning may never get old, but the Skyhawks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Southridge pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Sunset, Westview, and Jesuit. As for Sunset, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Coming up, Southridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Jesuit likes a good challenge. As for Sunset, they will face off against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th.
