Graham had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 11-7 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-13 victory over the Virginia High Bearcats. The G-Men's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Abby Houchins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Houchins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Virginia High wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 25-2 win against Cornerstone Christian Academy on the 4th. Hopefully Graham paid attention to the Bearcats' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
