Basketball Recap: Kingman Sets Scoring Season-High Against Joseph City

Kingman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Joseph City Wildcats. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Joseph City was led to victory by Eli James and Cort Miller. James almost dropped a triple-double on 26 points, ten boards, and nine steals, while Miller went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which James has scored at least a third of Joseph City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Arnell, who posted 11 points.

Kingman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Joseph City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Kingman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Joseph City, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Many Farms at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
