Even though the White House Blue Devils have not done well against the White House-Heritage Patriots recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. White House enjoyed a cozy 56-39 win over White House-Heritage. The victory made it back-to-back wins for White House.
White House was led to victory by Louis Taylor and Dawson Carson. Taylor dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Carson scored 12 points. Taylor hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Bryce Hill, who scored 11 points.
White House-Heritage's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Avery Coles, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds, and Pryce Payne who scored 11 points. Coles scored a full 33.3% of White House-Heritage's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aric Lopez, who scored five points along with eight assists and three steals.
White House's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for White House-Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White House will be home for the holidays to greet Trousdale County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Trousdale County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 357th, while White House is ranked 159th). White House-Heritage will be home for the holidays to greet Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
