After flying high against the Boswell Scorpions on Saturday, the Dickson Comets came back down to earth. Dickson took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ada. Dickson has struggled against Ada recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ada got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makaviaya Nelson out in front who scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Nelson. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracey Dotson, who scored nine points.
Dickson's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ada, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dickson will take on Tishomingo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tishomingo is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ada, they will head out on the road to face off against Plainview at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
