The Nitro Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 77-49 win over Sissonville at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Nitro has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nitro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derek Lowe, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and two steals. Ty Stephens was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Nitro's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Sissonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nitro will challenge Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Nitro is ranked third). As for Sissonville, they will head out on the road to square off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
