 Meanwhile, Central came up short against Bedford on Friday and fell  34-27. Despite 89 more yards than the Bisons, the Dragons couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
 Central might have lost, but man,  Eli Muthler was a machine:  he threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 76 yards. Central is 4-1 when  Muthler posts three or  more  passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.  Jay Hoenstine was  Muthler's top target, picking up 54 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
 Clearfield pushed their record up to 8-0 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Central, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 5-3.
 Friday's   matchup might be decided in the trenches. Clearfield has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 359  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Central, though, as  they've been averaging  only 85. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
