Jesuit is 9-1 against the Raiders since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jesuit Blue Jays will head out on the road to square off against the Archbishop Rummel Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jesuit has four straight victories, the Raiders have six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Jesuit was able to grind out a solid win over the Crusaders, taking the game 48-40.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Rummel came up short against the Purple Knights on Tuesday and fell 60-49. Archbishop Rummel has not had much luck with the Purple Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Tj Duhe, who scored 17 points along with eight steals. Kendrick Joesph was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Jesuit's victory bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Archbishop Rummel, they dropped their record down to 19-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Jesuit strolled past the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 47-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jesuit since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
