After a string of three wins, the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 65-51 bruising from Casady. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lincoln Christian came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Casady is ranked 744th).
Casady's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Leache, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Bryson Buckingham, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Lincoln Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Casady, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Lincoln Christian will play host again and welcome Sapulpa, where tip off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Casady, they will square off against Deer Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Deer Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
