The Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-24 win over Largo at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-12.
Academy of the Holy Names' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucy Morey, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Morey hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Morgan Hunt was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Academy of the Holy Names pushed their record up to 13-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.67 points. As for Largo, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of the Holy Names will take on Carrollwood Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Largo, they will be playing at home against Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
