The Greater New Bedford RVT Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Bristol-Plymouth RVT Craftsmen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Monday, Greater New Bedford RVT didn't have quite enough to beat Apponequet Regional and fell 9-7. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Lakers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Boston Bettencourt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Dorian Fortes was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bristol-Plymouth RVT put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Nipmuc Regional get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.
Not much got past Kyle Weldon, who gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Nipmuc Regional off the board.
At the plate, Bristol-Plymouth RVT's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colby Robertson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Greater New Bedford RVT's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4. As for Bristol-Plymouth RVT, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greater New Bedford RVT has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bristol-Plymouth RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Greater New Bedford RVT came out on top in a nail-biter against Bristol-Plymouth RVT in their previous matchup back in May of 2015, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
