Basketball Recap: Taylor Piles Up the Points Against Burns Sci-Tech

Taylor waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Burns Sci-Tech Eagles 51-11. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.

Taylor was led to victory by Anthony Miler and Jace Harcus. Miler posted 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Harcus put up 14 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Harcus continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was James Thomas, who earned seven points and five steals.

Taylor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Taylor pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Burns Sci-Tech, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Taylor will challenge Warner Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Taylor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.5 points per game this season. As for Burns Sci-Tech, they will square off against Brevard HEAT at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
