Kalida came into Monday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Lincolnview Lancers on Monday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Kalida's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Lincolnview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

Kalida has already played their next contest, a 13-1 win against Pandora-Gilboa on the 20th. As for Lincolnview, they will challenge Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
