While the Vista del Lago Eagles couldn't quite beat the Del Campo Cougars on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 42-point loss they were dealt last Wednesday. Vista del Lago fell just short of Del Campo by a score of 56-54. Vista del Lago has not had much luck with Del Campo recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Pettus, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Jonah Stegall, who scored 11 points.
Vista del Lago's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Del Campo, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-21.
Vista del Lago does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Del Campo also has no future games currently scheduled.
