The Malad Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Bear River Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Malad comes in on ten and Bear River on four.
Malad's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on American Falls with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Kurt Ward made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Malad let Carter Blaisdell and Carter Carey run wild. Blaisdell went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Carey went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rydon Montgomery, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Malad was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Falls only posted a batting average of .167.
Bear River came out on top against Morgan on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Bears were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Trojans. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Ethan Higgs made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Higgs was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Holden Potter and J Theure did most of the damage at the plate: Potter went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Theure got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Michael Sanchez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Malad's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Bear River, their record is now 12-7.
