It was a good run, but Tri-Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Western Boone Stars by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since February 10th.

Western Boone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Hawkins, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance gave Hawkins a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Westerfeld, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

Tri-Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Western Boone, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Tri-Central will venture away from home to face off against Daleville at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Western Boone, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-48 defeat against Morristown on the 28th.
