The Parkville Knights entered their tilt with the Woodlawn Warriors with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Parkville took down the Warriors 63-47 on Wednesday. Given Parkville's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Warriors are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikko Persia, who scored 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Persia has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Council, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Parkville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Woodlawn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Parkville will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodlawn, they will square off against the Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
