East is 0-10 against Glenwood since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The East Tartans will be playing at home against the Glenwood Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
East proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 31) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Clay out 46-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for East.
Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Glenwood made off with a 40-39 victory over Green.
Glenwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyreke Lewis out in front who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Allard, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
East's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Glenwood, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10.
East suffered a grim 69-46 defeat to Glenwood in their previous matchup on Saturday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Allard, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds.
