If the Kellogg Wildcats were riding high off their 58-20 takedown of the St. Maries Lumberjacks last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kellogg took a serious blow against Lakeland on Tuesday, falling 66-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Kellogg has suffered yet this season.
Defeat or not, Kellogg got some senior leadership from Emily Coe and Dani Schillereff. Coe dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Schillereff. scored six points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Kellogg the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Priest River at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Lakeland, they will head out on the road to take on Moscow at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Moscow is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
