Basketball Recap: Montville Has No Trouble Against Putnam

Montville won the last time they faced Putnam and things went their way on Thursday too. The Montville Wolves enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over the Putnam Clippers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Several Clippers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was EVAN MAILLOUX, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. MAILLOUX continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. CAMDEN KELL was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five assists and five steals.

The victory got Montville back to even at 3-3. As for Putnam, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Montville has already played their next matchup (against Plainfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Putnam will challenge St. Thomas More at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
