The Cheverus Stags will face off against the Windham Eagles on Tuesday. Cheverus will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Cheverus is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Kennebunk get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Stags have won 13 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennebunk's batters probably weren't too happy with Addison DeRoche, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 18 Ks (she gave up zero walks). DeRoche has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hailey Lamontagne, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Windham faced Gorham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against the Rams by a score of 5-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won nine in a row.
Kennedy Kimball spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, Yani Kostopoulos was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Cheverus' win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Windham, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cheverus has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Windham struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Cheverus came out on top in a nail-biter against Windham in their previous matchup last Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stags since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
