The Adams Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spruce Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Adams will be strutting in after a victory while Spruce will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Adams earned a 60-51 victory over Conrad. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Adams.
Adams' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keiontay Marsh led the charge by scoring 15 points. Terell Toomas was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, sadly, Spruce is still looking for their first win of the season after 22 contests. They were outmatched by North Mesquite at home and fell 64-18. Spruce was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
Adams is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-18 record this season. As for Spruce, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-22.
Adams won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January, slipping by Spruce 52-51. Will Adams repeat their success, or does Spruce have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
