Nicholas Gaoa Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Barstow got the W thanks in part to Nicholas Gaoa playing the best football he has all season. Gaoa rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (115.8) per game. Those 205 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Barstow pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Gaoa and Barstow will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Silverado at 7:30 p.m. on October 24th.

Dwayne Williams Dazzles in Barstow Victory
Another Barstow player making an appearance on this list is Dwayne Williams. He rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Victor Valley's probably not too fond of Williams given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Williams saw the Jackrabbits), he rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Silverado Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Jace Weiss
Jace Weiss's big game helped extend Silverado's winning streak to four on Friday. Weiss turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Weiss and Silverado are taking a road trip to take on Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks had to take a loss when they last met the Saints, but Weiss had little to do with the loss: he threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
